Tennessee Twisted Tables started with a simple idea… stack some wood in a twisted pattern to make a table leg. The burst color pattern was inspired from years of painting custom guitars. We love colors that make a statement!
The majority of the wood we use is locally harvested and milled in the upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. Maple and oak are what we use most often, but we do have fun with some more exotic woods from time to time.
Our paints and finishes are environmentally friendly, water based, and extremely durable with proper care and cleaning.
Jason Crum has a unique ability to see the world in new and interesting ways. He has been on the show, Forged in Fire, and won his episode. He ran for state representative when he lived in Michigan. After 30 years as a radio host, he tried his hand at law enforcement, but decided it was a job for younger people than him, and instead, became a volunteer firefighter.
Jason’s foray into the art world started at a young age with pencil sketching. When he took up airbrushing in his 30s, a local luthier started hiring him to paint his handmade guitars.
Jason’s grandfather taught him the basics of woodworking, and he still lives by his grandfather’s motto, “If you ain’t wiping up glue afterwards, you didn’t use enough!”
The moniker, the second most interesting man in the world, started as joke from a friend, when they were having a couple of beers. It still makes him laugh every time he pops open a Dos Equis.
